Some jobs are not handyman jobs. If a repair turns out to be a structural problem, an electrical service issue, or something that needs a licensed trade and a permit, we will say so rather than patch over it.

Missouri does not issue a statewide residential contractor license — licensing and permit requirements are set locally, which means the answer to "does this need a permit" genuinely depends on the work and the jurisdiction. We would rather check first than have you find out at resale.
